Open Call Regulations

1.1. To be selected to enter the contest you must be 18 years of age or older.

1.2. Entering the Competition implies acceptance of these regulations.

1.3. Projects submitted must be submitted no later than the deadline specified on the contest website (link: www.ngodei.org/opencall)

1.4. The competition is open to all participants 18 years of age or older, whether professional or amateur photographers.

2.1. To enter the contest you must submit your work through the Contest website: link: www.ngodei.org/opencall.

3.1. All work delivered will be reviewed and previewed by an international group of expert photographers and members of the NGO DEI, The projects displayed will then be reviewed by our international jury. The jury will select the winners. Jury decisions are final.

3.2. The name or nickname of each participant whose work is selected as the winner, selected by the jury or finalist, will be published online.

4.1. NGO DEI reserves the right, in its own decision, to disqualify and delete any photograph that does not meet the following requirements, even after the image has been posted on the website. With regard to the images he presents, the photographer guarantees that:

4.1.1. You are the sole copyright owner and creator of the photographs.

4.1.2. You have the right to submit the images to this contest.

4.1.3. As far as he is knowledgeable, the photographs do not contain threatening, false, misleading, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, scandalous, provocative, pornographic or rude content.

4.1.4. Photography does not infringe the copyright, trademark, contract rights or other intellectual property rights of a third party or entity, nor does it violate the privacy and publicity rights of any person, and the photograph does not include:

4.1.5.1. trademarks owned by third parties.

4.1.5.2. copyrighted material owned by third parties.

4.1.5.3. names, physical or characteristic similarities identifying celebrities or public personalities, living or deceased.

4.1.5.4. shares in which rights to the use of stock images have been acquired or borrowed. 4.2. The Participant agrees to fully indemnify NGO DEI with respect to all copyrights, fees and any monetary amounts caused to any person for breach of the foregoing.

4.3. The Participant declares that all persons appearing in the photograph have given their permission to be photographed as they appear. Any clothing, accessories or other materials used must be rented or loaned with the permission of their owner/owner, and all necessary permits must have been obtained.

4.4. Photographs submitted as press photographs, reports, photojournalism or documentary photos must comply with the National Press Photographers Association (https:// nppa.org/code-ethics) code of ethics in general terms, as well as UNICEF recommendations on ethical work with children (https://www.unicef.org/ceecis/media_1482.html). You should not add, modify, delete, distort, or edit people or objects in the photo. If the images reflect a staging, this should be indicated in the text and in the feet of the photo. It is always important to take into account the ethical considerations of photography and to protect vulnerable groups from the potential harm that can be caused to them as a result of the publication of images that expose or identify individuals or groups that may be or become vulnerable as a result of the publication of the photographs.

5.1. NGO DEI acknowledges that the photographer maintains full ownership of the copyright of each photograph he submits.

5.2. Not all photographs submitted to the competition will be publicly visible in NGO DEI. There are too many job presentations, so it is not possible to display them all on the website. The images on the website are preselected by NGO DEI editors. The selection and publication or not of the photographs is at the discretion of the editors and has no effect on the evaluation of the work for the contest—the opinion of the jury begins once the deadline for the delivery of work to competition has been met.

6. All participants agree that any photograph(s) submitted in the Competition may be reproduced (quoting credits from its author) and used to conduct and promote NGO DEI contests. The photographer grants NGO DEI the right to use the photographs submitted in the context of such promotional activities.

7.1. Any photograph used by NGO DEI must be accompanied by the author‘s credits. The omission of the appropriations shall not be deemed non-compliance provided that NGO DEI makes every effort to rectify such non-compliance within a reasonable time from the date of notification of such non-compliance.

7.2. The Participant ensures that NGO DEI and its eventual partners assume no responsibility or are responsible for the misuse of any image.

8. NGO DEI assumes no responsibility for any incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information, whether caused by the users of the website or by any equipment or program associated with it or used in the contest. NGO DEI is also not responsible for technical, hardware or software failures of any kind; network connection drops, encrypted computer transmissions or other problems or technical malfunction under the contest. NGO DEI is not responsible for any errors, omissions, corruption, interruptions, deletion, defect, operational or transmission delays, communication line failure, theft or destruction, unauthorized access or alteration of deliveries. NGO DEI is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of any network or telephone line, online computer systems, servers, computer equipment, programming, failures in any email addressed to NGO DEI due to technical problems, human error or saturation of traffic on the Internet or any website, as well as any combination of the aforementioned, including any damage or damage to the user‘s computer or any other person related to / as a result of the participation or download of any material. If, for any reason, a contestant‘s photograph cannot be viewed or projected as intended, due, among other reasons, to the infection of the computer by viruses, errors, manipulation, unauthorized intervention, fraud or technical failure, NGO DEI declines any responsibility.

9. The Entrant agrees to participate in the related promotion and in the use of his/her name and that of the winning images for the propaganda, promotional and advertising purposes of NGO DEI and the Contest, without any additional compensation. Such requests shall not be taken into consideration without justification.
