Get-go Games is a solo exhibition of Friendly Liu, highlighting the child games from Hong Kong in the ’90s. As a Hong Kong artist based in Berlin for over 5 years, Friendly depicts her memories of Hong Kong from her illustrations to graffiti works. In Get-go Games, she combines her interpretations with 10 original games from Hong Kong, to share a collective game memory with audiences overseas. She redesigned these games and invited audiences to be players. By way of her collection to arouse the playfulness within adults, as well as to enjoy the authentic Hong Kong childhood.

Friendly Liu is also an experienced mural graffiti artist, thus NGO DEI invited her to embellish the community garden in her stay in Prague. We aim to activate the garden by her artistic strategy along with a child graffiti corner, as a response to her show. Besides the game collection, an animation ‘Hong Kong Cafe let’s fight together’ will be screened with the original model of the Nathan Road, which she built for over two month in 2018. This animation is a 60-minute stop-motion animated film that was done by Friendly Liu solely, including script, character design and production, voices for over 70 characters, music, photo shooting, subtitles, etc. It was awarded as the Best Animated Feature Film in the Festival of Animation Berlin 2018.
