The University of Hong Kong must return the Pillar of Shame to its rightful owner, the artist Jens Galschiøt, so it can - once again – be exhibited in the public space. Reminding of all people’s rights to remember their own history and the right to democracy, freedom of expression and human rights in China, Hong Kong and elsewhere.
NGO DEI and Mr. Jens Galschiot have been working together since June 4th, 2022, to raise awareness on the human rights and democratic situation of Hong Kong in several European countries through art. This year, a June 4th Vigil will be brought to Europe, and we will provide updates as soon as possible. Stay tuned for more news.
